My Mission: Encouraging girls and women to glorify God in everything they do.
Some spend their entire lives trying to find their dream job, but I found mine at age four, (well kind of). I always knew that I wanted to teach and encourage women like my Mom. When I was younger, instead of playing with other kids; I sat on my mom’s lap and listened to her witness to others. I wouldn’t talk or move around, I just sat there still and quiet absorbing her every word. Another fun fact about me is I started teaching my first Bible Study at age four. My mom taught a women’s Bible study at the time, so I decided to gather the women’s children in the adjacent room with Bible coloring sheets and crayons. The lessons I made were legit (lol)! The parents thought it was the cutest thing ever, but I was serious, and I wanted to share God’s story with my friends. In the midst of teaching a couple of preschoolers, I found my passion for teaching God’s Word.
Fast-forward 12 years to high school where I was a cheerleader at Rockwall-Heath. One of my coaches asked me to begin a weekly character study with all the cheerleaders. I searched and searched for a “cool” character study, but I couldn’t find one. My biggest problem was finding a relatable study for my teammates. After a lot of prayer, I decided to write my own lessons. For two years, I taught 50 cheerleaders (Freshman, JV and Varsity teams) and the last year I taught the drill team as well, totaling over 100 girls. During this time, I became very close with several of my teammates. As they began to open up to me, I realized the struggles that many girls endure.
Teaching the character study and forming these relationships gave me a heart for others. The character study ultimately ignited my passion for encouraging women. I’m totally comfortable with teaching all ages. I have taught women from 17-70, but it’s not about age to me. Sometimes I think to myself, “what could I possibly teach a 70-year-old woman?” But then I remember, if God can speak through a donkey, he can speak through me too.
I live my life with 1 Timothy 4:12 in mind
“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.”
I currently attend the University of Florida Online, and I am majoring in Telecommunications. After attending Texas Christian University, I felt God leading me to online school so that I could start up Hannah Victoria Speaks and public speaking while finishing my degree. My goal is to be transparent and real on Hannah Victoria Speaks, but more importantly in life! 2 Corinthians 4:13 is where I found inspiration for the name of my blog and YouTube Channel.
“It is written: ‘I believed; therefore I have spoken.’ Since we have that same spirit of faith, we also believe and therefore speak,”
